1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (hashed). If you use social login (Google, GitHub), we receive your public profile information.

Usage Data: We track which tools you use, file sizes processed, and usage counts to enforce plan limits and improve our service.

Files: PDFs you upload for server-side processing are temporarily stored in Cloudflare R2 and automatically deleted within 24 hours. Client-side processing keeps files entirely in your browser.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and maintain the service, enforce usage limits, improve features, send transactional emails (password resets), and respond to support requests.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure (Workers, D1, R2) with encryption at rest and in transit. Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2 with 100,000 iterations. We use JWT tokens for authentication with short-lived access tokens (15 minutes).

4. Third-Party Services

We use: Cloudflare (hosting, storage, CDN), Google OAuth (optional sign-in), GitHub OAuth (optional sign-in), and Anthropic Claude API (AI features). Each service has its own privacy policy.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (httpOnly refresh tokens) and localStorage for theme preferences and client-side usage tracking. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

6. Your Rights

You can: access your data via the dashboard, update your profile, export your file history, and delete your account (which permanently removes all associated data). Contact us for data access requests.

7. Data Retention

Uploaded files: deleted within 24 hours. Account data: retained until you delete your account. Usage logs: retained for 90 days.

8. Children's Privacy

PannaPDF is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
